Oil Deodorization plant
Oil Deodorization plant is the final stage in an edible oil refinery. It creates a more bland oil by removing odiferous material and other minor undesired particles, in turn increasing its shelf life. It is commonly used in the process of refining palm oil. Deodorization is a steam stripping process wherein a good-quality steam, generated from de-aerated and properly treated feedwater, is injected into soybean oil under low absolute pressure and sufficiently high temperature to vaporize the Free Fatty Acid (FFA) and odoriferous compounds and carry these volatiles away from the feedstock. The Oil Deodorization plant is made for commercial uses.
